Development of this web-site is collaboration between the Berks County Transition Coordinating Council (BCTCC) and the ACT Now grant. Funding for the grant was provided through the generosity of the Pennsylvania Developmental Disability Council (PADDC). This site is a resource, not only for students, but also for families, educators, and the business community.
The Berks County Transition Coordinating Council (BCTCC) is a partnership of consumers, students and their families, educators, service providers, employers, post-secondary institutions and the Berks County community.
BCTCC meets bi-monthly during the school year. The MISSION of BCTCC is to plan and facilitate the successful movement of students with disabilities from school programs to adult life. The GOAL of BCTCC is for each student with a disability to achieve his/her maximum potential for inclusion in all aspects of adult life.
Preparing Young Adults with Disabilities for Success in Adult Life handbook is a document prepared by the Berks County Transition Coordinating Council to assist with the understanding of the transition process.
